Our New Outdoor Play space

We were very excited to our our new Outdoor Play space at the start of 2023.

The brief for this space was to create a diverse, multi-sensory and inclusive nature discovery play space for children that is designed to reflect natural habitat creating surroundings that:

• Promotes self-directed, immersive, and stimulating nature play supporting both social interaction and solace.

• Incorporates therapeutic design principles which support wellbeing, health and physical development.

• Encourages environmental awareness including sustainability, biodiversity and ecosystems

• Incorporates indigenous influences that connect land, people, history and culture

• Creates physical and cognitive challenges building confidence and resilience and the opportunity to navigate risk.

The final creation delivers on the brief and the children LOVE it!

The new play-space was made possible thanks to the hard work of our Committee of Management and funding by the Victorian Government.
